An Educational Robot Giveaway!

Hi there! My name is De'Aira Bryant (DeeGotRobots) and I am a Computer Science Ph.D. student in the School of Interactive Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech, Atlanta). I conduct research in robotics and artificial intelligence. I grew up in Estill, South Carolina and later attended the University of South Carolina (UofSC) where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Prior to attending UofSC, I had very little experience in working with robots and have worked hard to break into the field. The struggles I had along my journey help fuel my passion for making robotics and computing accessible and welcoming for girls willing to learn. The beauty of the field is that it's never too early (or too late) to start learning!

So, in honor of my 26th birthday, I am giving away educational learning robots to 66 lucky South Carolina or Georgia girls! These robots make it easy and fun to start learning about robotics and coding. The 16 robots consist of Botley robots for elementary school girls, Sphero Mini robots for middle school girls, mBot robots, and more! They teach students about the fundamentals of computation and logic, coding, path planning, obstacle avoidance, and more! They are perfect for girls who are beginning their journey into the wonderful world of robotics!

The giveaway entry period ended on October 6, 2020. Winners are shown below. Follow @DeeGotRobots for future giveaways, contests, and educational resources!
